Katie Pullom

Katie Pullom is a Ph.D. candidate in Education Policy at the University of Pennsylvania, researching how external supports can reduce the effects of childhood poverty and promote social mobility for children in low-income communities.

 

About Katie

Katie holds a M.Ed. from Pace University and a B.S. in Chemistry from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Before joining the program, Katie served as the policy director for the Alabama House Democratic Caucus helping to develop the legislative agenda and to provide policy recommendations for the legislative session. She is a former high school chemistry and physics teacher and a current pre-doctoral fellow with the Institute of Education Sciences.
