As a research assistant and fourth-year doctoral candidate in education policy at the University of Pennsylvania, Anika supports a range of projects and conducts research that integrates machine learning, causal inference, and economic evaluation.

 

About Anika

Prior to joining Penn, Anika completed an M.A. in Education Policy at Teachers College, Columbia University. She previously taught at DC Public Schools as a math educator. She holds a B.S. in Policy, Analysis, and Management from Cornell University. Anika’s research applies machine learning, causal inference, and economic evaluation to better understand policies and programs that improve education outcomes, especially for children from households struggling with poverty.
