The CBSCE is co-directed by Professors Henry Levin and Clive Belfield.

Dr. Levin is the William Heard Kilpatrick Professor of Economics and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University, and the David Jacks Professor Emeritus of Higher Education and Economics at Stanford University. Dr. Belfield is an Assistant Professor in the Economics Department at Queens College, the City University of New York.  He has published widely in the economics of education. [Bio]

Professors Levin and Belfield are co-authors of Privatizing Educational Choice: Consequences for Parents, Schools, and Public Policy (Paradigm Publishers, 2005) and a forthcoming volume The Price We Pay: The Economic and Social Costs of Inadequate Education (Brookings Institution Press, 2007).

Cecilia Rouse is the Theodore A. Wells '29 Professor of Economics and Public Affairs at Princeton University, Director of the Industrial Relations Section and Director of the Education Research Section.  Professsor Rouse's primary research and teaching interests are in labor economics with a particular focus on the economics of education.
